About the Trainer

Amit Gorlicki

"All my life I rescued dogs from shelters that were deemed unadoptable or untrainable. Through consistent training I was able to help even the most difficult dogs shine onstage and in a home. I truly believe that there is no such thing as a bad dog. With a bit of knowledge and some work, I believe every dog has the potential to be a perfect pet."

Amit Gorlicki was born and raised in Israel. Throughout his childhood he always had a love of animals. After training his first personal dog, Cindy, a Labrador/Golden Retriever mix, he fell in love with training animals and learned how to communicate with them.

Through his high school years he started raising and training guide dogs for the blind, getting a new puppy every year. His love for animals directed him towards the world of horseback riding. He competed in dressage and horse jumping competitions for over 10 years.

Amit moved to San Diego to further his education in Psychology at San Diego State University in the hopes of becoming an animal trainer. In 2003 Amit was hired as a trainer at the "Pets Rule!"  show at SeaWorld San Diego. He soon became a senior trainer and then manager of the show.

For the next 17 years, Amit rescued and trained hundreds of animals nationwide for similar shows at zoos and theme parks across the country. His experience with domestic and exotic animals is both unique and extensive. Applying behavior modification and operant conditioning training techniques, Amit has trained everything from rats to camels. From dogs, cats, birds, hoofstock and countless other species of animals, Amit truly understands what each animal needs to be successful. His true passion is helping dogs become perfect members of a household.

Amit can help you and your dog with any behavioral issues. Jumping, chewing, barking, pulling on the leash, aggression towards animals or humans or just being an all around great pet. Let Amit empower you to be the perfect dog owner to create the perfect family of humans and pets.
